- As per provisional figures, Urea off-take during Dec-2024 is likely to clock-in at 991k tons (+ 58% YoY/+ 52% MoM), witnessing highest levels in last 54 months. Wherein, DAP off-take is expected to hover around 152k tons, up 10% YoY, down 39%YoY. Cumulatively, Urea off-take is projected to close at 6.58mn tons, posting a marginal dip of 1% compared to CY23 levels.
- On a company-wise basis, Fauji Fertilizer Company (FFC) is estimated to post 317k tons of Urea sales during Dec-2024, up 38% YoY. On the other hand, Engro Fertilizers (EFERT) is likely to report a significant recovery in Urea volumes, up 96% YoY/113% MoM to clock-in at 412k tons mainly due to seasonality factors, and clearance of inventory.
- Higher off-take during Dec-2024 is likely to ease off the higher inventory levels witnessed in previous months, with inventory levels likely to settle in at 371k tons. EFERT is likely to witness recovery in its Urea market share to ~42% in Dec-2024.
