- Textile exports arrived at USD 1.47Bn in Dec’24 as compared to USD 1.4Bn SPLY, reflecting a growth of 6%YoY. Whereas, on a monthly basis up ~1%MoM. The increase was primarily attributable to higher exports of yarn, bed-wear, ready-made garments, and art & silk up 32%YoY, 13%YoY, 20%YoY, and 22%YoY, respectively. Moreover, 1HFY25 textile exports increased 10%YoY to USD 9.08Bn as compared to USD 8.28Bn in the SPLY.
- In Dec’24, Basic Textile exports totaled ~USD 215Mn, down 16% YoY, largely attributed to decline in exports of cotton yarn. Whereas, value added and other exports increased by 12%YoY and 2%YoY, respectively.
- According to the Pakistan Cotton Ginning Association's cotton arrival report as of January 03, 2025, cotton arrivals reported a decline of 33%YoY, arriving at ~5.45Mn bales as compared to ~8.17Mn bales in the SPLY. Wherein, Punjab saw a 35%YoY decline in cotton arrivals, totaling ~2.65Mn bales, while Sindh saw a decline of 32%YoY, totaling ~2.79Mn bales, respectively.
