- Amid slow disbursements of foreign loans from international creditors, IMF review mission is scheduled to visit Pakistan in the first week of next month for holding review parleys under $7 billion Extended Fund Facility (EFF).
- The foreign direct investment (FDI) surged 56 per cent in the first seven months of FY25. The State Bank reported on Tuesday that the FDI increased by $548 million, or 56pc, to $1.523 billion during July-January FY25 compared to $975m a year ago.
- The country borrowed $4.585 billion from multiple financing sources during the first seven months (July-January) of the current fiscal year 2024-25 compared to $6.31 billion borrowed during the same period of 2023-24.
