- The equity market opened on a strong footing; however, it could not maintain the early momentum as the session progressed. The KSE-100 Index recorded an intraday high of 171,393 and a low of 169,230 before closing at 170,314, reflecting a decline of 133 points. Market participation remained robust, with total traded volume at 435.1 million shares and an estimated turnover of PKR 37.6 billion.
- The decline in the index was primarily driven by LUCK (-2.4%, -175 points), ENGROH (-1.7%, -122 points), OGDC (-1.6%, -94 points), FFC (-0.4%, -69 points), and DHPL (-10%, -63 points). In terms of volumes, BOP and KEL led trading activity, recording volumes of 90.6 million and 43.7 million shares, respectively.
