- Local industry dispatches stood at 11.2 million tons in 2QFY26, increased by 12% YoY and 18% QoQ, driven by improvement in economic/construction activity. In contrast, exports declined 21% QoQ, primarily due to the closure of the Afghan border, which materially disrupted the industry’s export mix.
- For the IIS Cement Universe, local dispatches grew 12% YoY, while exports declined sharply by 24% YoY. Overall profitability is expected to remain broadly stable, with a marginal 0.1% YoY decline, supported by stronger domestic offtake and lower financing costs. On a QoQ basis, earnings are expected to decline by 5%, primarily due to the absence of dividend income from LCI and Lucky Electric; however, this impact is partially offset by higher volumes and an improvement in operating margins.
