PSX Closing Bell: Taking a Step Back

November 18, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Tuesday's trading session at 160,935.13, showing a decrease of 752.05 points or 0.47%.

The index traded in a range of 1,760.76 points showing an intraday high of 162,344.65 (+657.47) and a low of 160,583.89 (-1,103.29) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 302.86 million shares.

 

Of the 100 index companies 30 closed up, 68 closed down, 1 were unchanged, while 1 remained untraded.

Top losers during the day were KTML (-8.71%), GADT (-5.11%), SSOM (-3.95%), BNWM (-3.67%), and PSX (-2.88%).

On the other hand, top gainers were PIOC (+10.00%), PKGP (+2.35%), PIBTL (+2.24%), PTC (+2.08%), and POL (+1.94%).

 

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that dragged the index lower were ENGROH (-133.19pts), MEBL (-96.26pts), BAHL (-68.62pts), UBL (-61.78pts), and KTML (-54.66pts).

Meanwhile, companies that added points to the index were PIOC (+101.64pts), POL (+52.70pts), PSEL (+19.50pts), DGKC (+16.56pts), and PTC (+15.15pts).

 

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was let down by Commercial Banks (-400.33pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (-165.09pts), Fertilizer (-62.79pts), Textile Composite (-57.57pts), and Power Generation & Distribution (-41.14pts).

While the index was supported by Miscellaneous (+27.15pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (+16.13pts), Refinery (+12.67pts), Cement (+10.33pts), and Transport (+8.27pts).

 

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 50,567.08 with a net loss of 237.95 points or 0.47%.

Total market volume was 1,545.93 million shares compared to 1,214.43m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs38.86 billion showing a decrease of Rs2.52bn.

There were 419,955 trades reported in 473 companies with 178 closing up, 249 closing down, and 46 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 35,308 points or 28.11% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 45,808 points or 39.79% so far this calendar year.
