PSX Closing Bell: Red Sweeps the Board

February 16, 2026 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Monday's trading session at 174,453.93, showing a decrease of 5,149.80 points or 2.87%.

The index traded in a range of 6,394.96 points showing an intraday high of 179,969.22 (+365.49) and a low of 173,574.26 (-6,029.47) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 378.71 million shares.

 

Of the 100 index companies 10 closed up, 89 closed down, while 1 were unchanged.

Top losers during the day were SNGP (-8.56%), BOP (-8.55%), AKBL (-7.99%), ABL (-7.61%), and PTC (-6.92%).

On the other hand, top gainers were SSOM (+10.00%), HUMNL (+5.57%), FHAM (+1.61%), BNWM (+1.54%), and LOTCHEM (+1.52%).

 

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that dragged the index lower were UBL (-598.33pts), ENGROH (-315.44pts), FFC (-295.21pts), HBL (-250.39pts), and BAHL (-220.72pts).

Meanwhile, companies that added points to the index were SRVI (+20.00pts), HUMNL (+13.07pts), LOTCHEM (+4.49pts), SSOM (+2.23pts), and NATF (+2.15pts).

 

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was let down by Commercial Banks (-2133.72pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-453.90pts), Cement (-410.33pts), Fertilizer (-380.37pts), and Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (-336.55pts).

While the index was supported by Leather & Tanneries (+20.00pts), Vanaspati & Allied Industries (+2.23pts), Modarabas (+1.72pts), Woollen (+0.16pts), and Leasing Companies (+0.06pts).

 

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 104,971.25 with a net loss of 3,049.93 points or 2.82%.

Total market volume was 773.29 million shares compared to 708.97m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs46.24 billion showing an increase of Rs7.35bn.

There were 445,693 trades reported in 486 companies with 64 closing up, 378 closing down, and 44 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 48,827 points or 38.87% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 400 points or 0.23% so far this calendar year.
