Tri-Star Power posts modest profit in 1HFY26

February 27, 2026 (MLN): Tri-Star Power Limited (PSX:TSPL) reported a modest turnaround for the half year ended December 31, 2025, posting a net profit of Rs333,610.

This marks a recovery from the net loss of Rs3.87m recorded in the same period last year.

The company's earnings per share (EPS) recovered to Rs0.02, reversing a loss per share of Rs0.26 in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The company generated a revenue of Rs6.60m during the half-year, compared to nil revenue in H1FY25

Against this revenue, the cost of sales stood at Rs228,394 (up 62% from Rs141,362 last year).

Because of the new revenue injection, the company posted a gross profit of Rs6.37m, compared to a gross loss of Rs141,362 in the prior period.

Operating expenses remained relatively stable, with administrative and general expenses registering a slight 3% decrease to Rs6.90m from Rs7.13m.

Financial expenses, which were minimal last year (Rs2,875), fell to zero.

Other income saw a steep 71% decline, dropping to Rs1m from Rs3.40m. However, because the core operating deficit had shrunk so significantly, this reduced other income was still enough to push the bottom line into positive territory.

After accounting for a taxation expense of Rs136,263 (compared to zero tax last year), the company secured its final net profit of Rs333,610.
