April 15, 2026 (MLN): Saif Textile Mills Limited (PSX: SAIF) has commissioned a 10-megawatt solar power project at its manufacturing facility in Gadoon Amazai, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as part of its strategy to reduce energy costs and improve operational efficiency.
The company disclosed the development in a to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, stating the project has been successfully installed and is now operational.
The solar installation is expected to lower reliance on grid electricity and shield the company from rising energy tariffs, supporting margins over time.
Energy costs have remained a key pressure point for Pakistan’s textile sector, prompting firms to explore alternative power sources.
