AIRLINK enters BNPL with new subsidiary

April 29, 2026 (MLN): Air Link Communication Limited’s
(PSX: AIRLINK) Board of Directors has approved the incorporation of a wholly
owned subsidiary under the name AirFin Consumer Finance (Pvt.) Limited,
marking the company's strategic entry into the consumer finance sector with Buy
Now, Pay Later (BNPL) as its principal line of business.
The proposed subsidiary, whose name remains subject to
confirmation by the Registrar of Companies, will operate under Investment
Finance Services, pending the issuance of a No Objection Certificate (NOC)
and formal licensing from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan
(SECP).
The Board has approved an initial investment of Rs.
500,000,000 structured as 50,000,000 ordinary shares at a par value
of Rs. 10/- each, fully held by the parent company, Air Link
Communication Limited, according to company’s on PSX.
The move signals Air Link's intent to diversify beyond its
core communications and technology business by tapping into Pakistan's rapidly
growing digital consumer finance landscape, where BNPL solutions have gained
considerable traction among retail consumers.
The subsidiary's formal establishment remains contingent
upon regulatory approvals from the SECP.
