May 07, 2026 (MLN): Panther Tyres Limited (PSX:PTL)
has awarded a contract for the installation of a 3.5 MW solar power system to a
well-established solar energy solutions provider.
Procurement is already underway, with implementation work
currently in progress. Upon completion, the Company's total solar energy
capacity will rise to 6 MW, combining the new system with its existing 2.5 MW
solar installation.
The project will feature high-efficiency Jinko 720W solar
panels paired with Huawei inverters, and is expected to deliver an estimated
annual reduction of approximately 4,700 metric tons of CO₂ emissions, the
environmental equivalent of planting around 220,000 trees.
The expansion is part of Panther Tyres' broader ESG strategy, aimed at cutting energy costs, reducing carbon emissions, and increasing reliance on clean, renewable energy.
