August 10, 2026 (MLN): Lucky Cement Limited (PSX: LUCK) has disclosed plans to inject up to PKR 1.2 billion in additional equity into its associated entity, National Resources (Private) Limited (NRL), to support copper and gold exploration in Baluchistan.
The disclosure came alongside the publication of the company's financial results for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, following a Board of Directors meeting on August 7, 2026.
In a, Lucky Cement detailed its strategic investment in NRL, a joint venture dedicated to metal exploration and mining in which the company holds a 33.33% equity stake.
The joint venture recently uncovered significant copper and gold mineralization within its licensed area in Chagai, Baluchistan, while concurrently carrying out exploration across four other licensed sites.
Rs1.2 billion injection will fund pre-feasibility studies, including physical geology, exploratory drilling, and mineral resource estimation.
The equity transaction remains subject to corporate and regulatory approvals, including shareholder consent under Section 199 of the Companies Act, 2017, at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.
