- The equity market opened on a strong note but failed to sustain momentum as the session progressed. The KSE-100 Index touched an intraday high of 171,923 and a low of 170,192 before settling at 170,447, down 294 points. Market activity remained healthy, with total traded volume reaching 475.3 million shares and an estimated turnover of PKR 36.2 billion.
- The decline in the index was primarily driven by FFC (-1.01%, -180 points), SYS (-2.2%, -111 points), PPL (-2.1%, -110 points), DHPL (-10%, -70 points), and OGDC (-1.1%, -67 points). In terms of volumes, PIBTL and BOP led trading activity, recording volumes of 101.8 million and 88.7 million shares, respectively.
