PSX Closing Bell: Non Stop Slide

October 10, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Friday's trading session at 163,098.19, showing a decrease of 1,432.61 points or 0.87%.

The index traded in a range of 2,851.60 points showing an intraday high of 165,262.85 (+732.05) and a low of 162,411.25 (-2,119.55) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 607.60 million shares.

 

Of the 100 index companies 18 closed up, 81 closed down, while 1 were unchanged.

Top losers during the day were PSEL (-9.85%), AICL (-5.05%), TGL (-4.07%), SEARL (-4.00%), and FATIMA (-3.66%).

On the other hand, top gainers were PTC (+4.40%), PKGP (+4.12%), PSX (+3.76%), HGFA (+3.66%), and AKBL (+3.27%).

 

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that dragged the index lower were ENGROH (-230.99pts), SYS (-165.37pts), MCB (-121.29pts), HBL (-108.81pts), and EFERT (-105.59pts).

Meanwhile, companies that added points to the index were FFC (+168.37pts), MLCF (+45.84pts), AKBL (+41.85pts), DGKC (+35.55pts), and PTC (+31.23pts).

 

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was let down by Commercial Banks (-394.76pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-270.06pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (-208.61pts), Technology & Communication (-119.52pts), and Miscellaneous (-93.31pts).

While the index was supported by Power Generation & Distribution (+27.77pts), Leather & Tanneries (+24.35pts), Fertilizer (+7.75pts), Close - End Mutual Fund (+5.96pts), and Paper, Board & Packaging (+0.00pts).

 

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 51,989.98 with a net loss of 459.27 points or 0.88%.

Total market volume was 1,401.25 million shares compared to 1,570.38m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs47.79 billion showing a decrease of Rs2.73bn.

There were 460,357 trades reported in 479 companies with 145 closing up, 302 closing down, and 32 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 37,471 points or 29.83% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 47,971 points or 41.67% so far this calendar year.
