BECO Steel diversifies into deformed steel bars

October 14, 2025 (MLN): BECO Steel Limited has disclosed a significant expansion and growth strategy, moving to diversify its operations into the production of deformed steel bars.

The company currently operates in both ferrous and non-ferrous segments, catering to both local and export markets.

The decision came in line with BECO's long-term strategy and in anticipation of future steel demandThe expansion will be realized through the installation of a state-of-the-art steel furnace and a continuous casting mill.

The new facility is designed to have an annual production capacity of 72,000 tons of rebars.

To enhance cost-efficiency and sustainability, the expansion plan includes the addition of a 5 MW solar power plant.

The entire project will be fully self-financed, with no external borrowings. The company currently maintains a debt-free position, operating without any borrowings from financial institutions.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) has already acquired the land required for the expansion , and project execution is scheduled to commence in early 2026.

BECO Steel confirmed that its sales "continue to show a positive growth trajectory". The material information was officially disclosed to the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited.
