October 28, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Tuesday's trading session at 160,101.02, showing a decrease of 2,062.79 points or 1.27%.
The index traded in a range of 3,575.33 points showing an intraday high of 163,380.67 (+1,216.86) and a low of 159,805.34 (-2,358.47) points.
The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 374.97 million shares.
Of the 100 index companies 19 closed up, 79 closed down, while 2 were unchanged.
Top losers during the day were GHGL (-10.00%), TGL (-10.00%), PKGP (-9.99%), KEL (-9.29%), and UNITY (-8.37%).
On the other hand, top gainers were PSEL (+1.69%), SRVI (+1.69%), LUCK (+1.67%), TRG (+1.12%), and INDU (+0.92%).
In terms of index-point contributions, companies that dragged the index lower were HUBC (-142.35pts), MEBL (-121.82pts), HBL (-114.39pts), OGDC (-106.15pts), and UBL (-100.98pts).
Meanwhile, companies that added points to the index were LUCK (+110.48pts), PSEL (+19.73pts), SRVI (+19.04pts), BAHL (+11.04pts), and TRG (+9.58pts).
Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was let down by Commercial Banks (-534.75pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-337.45pts), Power Generation & Distribution (-232.16pts), Fertilizer (-173.59pts), and Technology & Communication (-112.28pts).
While the index was supported by Leather & Tanneries (+19.04pts), Tobacco (+4.44pts), Insurance (+1.14pts), Sugar & Allied Industries (+0.53pts), and Synthetic & Rayon (+0.00pts).
In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 50,701.00 with a net loss of 653.24 points or 1.27%.
Total market volume was 1,018.74 million shares compared to 1,006.69m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs36.94 billion showing an increase of Rs2.12bn.
There were 439,579 trades reported in 476 companies with 113 closing up, 324 closing down, and 39 remaining unchanged.
