PSX Closing Bell: Hold On, We’re Going Up

December 27, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Friday's trading session at 172,400.73, showing an increase of 1,570.51 points or 0.92%.

The index remained positive throughout the day showing an intraday high of 172,582.95 (+1,752.73) and a low of 171,146.14 (+315.92) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 346.40 million shares.

 

Of the 100 index companies 64 closed up, 36 closed down, while 0 were unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were JVDC (+9.72%), KOHC (+6.85%), ENGROH (+4.64%), MLCF (+3.99%), and THALL (+3.63%).

On the other hand, top losers were RMPL (-5.99%), UNITY (-3.92%), DHPL (-3.35%), YOUW (-2.77%), and BNWM (-1.75%).

 

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were ENGROH (+342.26pts), PPL (+144.53pts), SYS (+109.61pts), NBP (+102.79pts), and MLCF (+75.15pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were LUCK (-60.78pts), MTL (-24.22pts), RMPL (-20.55pts), DHPL (-13.54pts), and PSEL (-12.49pts).

 

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Commercial Banks (+458.61pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+342.32pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+234.18pts), Cement (+162.28pts), and Technology & Communication (+99.99pts).

While the index was let down by Automobile Assembler (-30.00pts), Food & Personal Care Products (-19.97pts), Miscellaneous (-9.53pts), Insurance (-8.68pts), and Engineering (-4.84pts).

 

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 103,483.95 with a net gain of 561.58 points or 0.55%.

Total market volume was 798.00 million shares compared to 811.56m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs38.06 billion showing an increase of Rs8.27bn.

There were 385,158 trades reported in 482 companies with 221 closing up, 229 closing down, and 32 remaining unchanged.
