PSX Closing Bell: Keeping the Faith

February 02, 2026 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Monday's trading session at 185,057.83, showing an increase of 883.35 points or 0.48%.

The index traded in a range of 2,819.33 points showing an intraday high of 185,611.72 (+1,437.24) and a low of 182,792.39 (-1,382.09) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 215.80 million shares.

 

Of the 100 index companies 49 closed up, 50 closed down, while 1 were unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were SAZEW (+9.15%), FATIMA (+7.89%), PGLC (+4.99%), HCAR (+4.36%), and ILP (+3.33%).

On the other hand, top losers were MUREB (-4.55%), IBFL (-3.00%), UPFL (-2.49%), INDU (-2.48%), and PSX (-2.40%).

 

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were UBL (+247.66pts), ENGROH (+214.11pts), SYS (+147.01pts), FATIMA (+144.07pts), and SAZEW (+140.81pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were FFC (-231.14pts), LUCK (-92.62pts), HBL (-45.72pts), INDU (-25.48pts), and AICL (-21.06pts).

 

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Commercial Banks (+343.60pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+188.74pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+184.40pts), Automobile Assembler (+178.70pts), and Technology & Communication (+157.10pts).

While the index was let down by Cement (-102.66pts), Fertilizer (-102.13pts), Food & Personal Care Products (-55.59pts), Insurance (-21.06pts), and Property (-20.67pts).

 

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 111,198.99 with a net gain of 473.53 points or 0.43%.

Total market volume was 740.09 million shares compared to 805.14m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs42.20 billion showing a decrease of Rs8.63bn.

There were 398,434 trades reported in 487 companies with 214 closing up, 222 closing down, and 51 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 59,431 points or 47.31% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 11,004 points or 6.32% so far this calendar year.
