March 04, 2026 (MLN): The Privatisation Commission (PC) Board has recommended including Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited (FFC) in the consortium led by Arif Habib Corporation Limited (AHCL), the successful bidder for Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (PIACL).

The Board also proposed revising the fee structure of the Commission, aiming to enhance financial sustainability and support institutional reforms.

The inclusion of FFC in the consortium is subject to approval by the Cabinet Committee on Privatisation (CCoP) or the Federal Cabinet, according to a press release issued.

The recommendations were made during the 249th meeting of the PC Board, chaired by Mr. Muhammad Ali, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Privatisation and Chairman of the Privatisation Commission.

Under the Share Purchase and Subscription Agreement (SPSA), FFC was nominated by the AHCL-led consortium, with AHCL as the lead member.

After thorough review, the Board confirmed that FFC meets all eligibility and regulatory requirements and reaffirmed its commitment to executing the privatisation programme in a transparent, competitive, and rule-based manner.
