July 27, 2026 (MLN): Meezan Bank has achieved PCI DSS v4.0.1 certification following a comprehensive assessment conducted by Risk Associates, a globally recognized PCI Qualified Security Assessor (QSA).
The certification underscores the bank's commitment to protecting cardholder data through robust security controls across its growing digital and payment ecosystem.
It also shows Meezan Bank's continued adoption of internationally recognized security standards to provide secure and reliable banking services.
The PCI DSS Certificate of Compliance was presented by Risk Associates Group Chairman Dr. Aftab Rizvi and Risk Associates Pakistan CEO and Country Head Navaid Naqvi in the presence of Meezan Bank Chief Information Security Officer Fahd Azam.
The ceremony was also attended by Risk Associates Head of Business Development Kashif Ali, Meezan Bank Chief Risk Officer Syed Tariq Hassan, and other senior officials from both organizations.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Aftab Rizvi said the certification reflects Meezan Bank's proactive approach to payment security and regulatory compliance, adding that it sets a benchmark for strengthening security and customer trust as Pakistan's financial sector continues to digitize.
Fahd Azam said the achievement reaffirms the bank's commitment to maintaining high standards of payment security and data protection.
He also acknowledged the support of the Risk Associates team during the assessment process and said the bank would continue to strengthen its cybersecurity framework.
Navaid Naqvi said the certification demonstrates Meezan Bank's commitment to cybersecurity, governance, and customer data protection, adding that aligning its security practices with international standards further enhances trust in its digital banking services.
