The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has released its performance report for the insurance sector for 2025, revealing that insurance companies paid over 1 million claims totaling Rs. 542 billion. This is the first time the regulator has published detailed claims data covering major categories of life and non-life insurance.

SECP Chairman Dr. Kabir Ahmed Sidhu stated that publishing this data is a key step toward improving transparency and accountability in the industry. Additionally, the insurance sector saw a 15% increase in total premiums and a significant 71% growth in premiums generated through digital channels, highlighting a shift toward digital adoption.
