پاکستان اٹامک انرجی کمیشن (PAEC) کے تحت چلنے والے چشمہ نیوکلیئر پاور پلانٹ یونٹ-1 (C-1) نے اپنے 18ویں آپریٹنگ سائیکل کے دوران 427 دن تک محفوظ اور بلا تعطل آپریشنز مکمل کر کے پاکستان میں کسی بھی نیوکلیئر پاور پلانٹ کا طویل ترین مسلسل آپریٹنگ ریکارڈ قائم کر دیا ہے۔
325 میگاواٹ کے اس پلانٹ نے پورے سائیکل کے دوران بلا تعطل کام جاری رکھا۔ اس کے علاوہ پلانٹ نے بین الاقوامی کارکردگی کے پیمانے پر بھی بہترین نتائج حاصل کیے۔ PAEC کے مطابق C-1 نے سال 2026 کی پہلی دو سہ ماہیوں میں ورلڈ ایسوسی ایشن آف نیوکلیئر آپریٹرز (WANO) کے پرفارمنس انڈیکس سکور میں 100 کا ہندسہ حاصل کیا۔
کمیشن کا کہنا ہے کہ اس کارکردگی نے C-1 کو آپریشنل کارکردگی، وشوسنییتا اور حفاظت کے لحاظ سے دنیا کے صف اول کے نیوکلیئر پاور پلانٹس میں لا کھڑا کیا ہے۔ یہ کامیابی انجنیئرز، سائنسدانوں اور عملے کی تکنیکی مہارت، نظم و ضبط اور ٹیم ورک کا نتیجہ ہے۔
The Chashma Nuclear Power Plant Unit-1 (C-1), operated by the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), has set a new national record by completing 427 days of safe and uninterrupted operation during its 18th operating cycle.
The 325-megawatt C-1 maintained continuous operations throughout the cycle, demonstrating high reliability. Additionally, the plant achieved a World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) Performance Indicator Index score of 100 in each of the first two quarters of 2026, placing it among leading nuclear power plants globally in terms of safety and operational performance.
PAEC attributed this milestone to the technical expertise, discipline, and dedication of the engineers, scientists, and personnel at the Chashma facility, along with strict adherence to international safety standards.
